In 1941, over 10,000 people were transported to the Hadamar killing center on "Grey Buses", they were murdered because they were disabled as part of the T4 program:

During World War II, more than 300,000 mentally ill and disabled people fell victim to the Nazis' so-called "euthanasia action." They were deemed "unworthy of life."

By the end of the war, 90,000 patients had died in state-run sanatoriums through starvation, poor care, and murdered with medication. More than 70,000 men, women, and children were gassed in six extermination centers in 1940/41 as part of the secret "T4" operation. The mass murder was centrally organized at Tiergartenstrasse No. 4 in Berlin (hence the abbreviation “T4”).
